Today, I received some Coastal Scents products that I had ordered in the mail and since so many people are talking good things about the “Coastal Scents Eye Brightener,” I wanted to test it out myself.  I picked up the shade “Ivory.”  I got to say that the pictures on their website though never tells the truth and I really don’t like that.

It claims to brighten up the eye and conceal the under-eye circles. On the packaging, it says to apply to the inner corner of the eye and under the lower lash line, best if applied after mascara or eyeliner application.

My Take on Coastal Scents Bright Eyed Eye Brightener:

This “Ivory” shade has a pinkish undertone. At first, I thought “oh! my, I picked up the wrong shade.”  I might have done, but when I applied it under my eyes, it mutes the darkness with the pinkish-ness. In the future, I will definitely buy the light shade to see which one does a better job. So far, so good though. It doesn’t crease and the coverage is full coverage. In the pictures, you will be able to see that a little bit goes a long way. It kind of reminds me off the “Hard Candy Concealer.”

It also blends very easily and once it dries, it doesn’t move anywhere. When I swatched it on my arm after 2 minutes (after taking a few pictures), I was trying to smudge it and it didn’t move.  It is kind of pricey though, but if you think about how long it will last you, it will be totally worth it. If you ask me, it will last about a year if applied every day.

Last Word on Coastal Scents Bright Eyed Eye Brightener:

I like it and its a different product that I haven’t seen anywhere. It does do its job though and brightens up my eyes.  I am not sure if I like it as a concealer for my under eye circles . I love to use it on my eyelids whenever I don’t want to wear any eyeshadow and to the inner corner of my eyes. I still wish I should have picked up the light shade and maybe that one has a beige vanilla undertone. This I know will help a lot of people because Coastal Scents pictures are not so accurate.
